A technology class just for girls?

Posted by nancyscofield on 26th October 2006

Thanks for your ideas, everyone. I appreciate it. Keep ‘em coming!

Here’s an entry I posted on the Women of the Web 2.0 site last night. Please feel free to give me your thoughts on this also.

My daughter gets credit for this idea (she’s pretty cool!)

What if we had a technology class just for girls? (Possible name for the class–GIFT: Girls in Fun Technology

So my questions are:
What would that class look like? What tools/skills would be taught? What kind of equipment/space would be needed? What grant money is out there that would help get such a program going?

I’d love to hear your input. If we could design the “ultimate” technology class, focusing on girls, what would it be?

Thanks for your ideas!
